Gatos vs Perros

so just a quick story/idea. The other day my teacher described the difference between Costa Ricans and Americans. The analogy he used was Gatos Vs. Perros, Cats Vs. Dogs. This is why he thinks so:

Gatos:
Gringos(white people)
Like to be alone
Personal Space
Individuals- dont travel in packs
Sleep In or during the day

Perros:
Costa Ricans
Like to travel in groups and be surrounded
Always in people's personal space, very close
Likes to depend and be close with others
Wake up super early , work all day, and sleep early
Most of it is true i have to say! I just thought it was interesting and kind of funny. So now you know!

  1. Emma,

Good luck comes to good people so I'm not surprised you got your wallet back. The folks in CR sound like such nice and easy going people.

Love reading about all your adventures. Puerto Viejo sounds like paradise. I can truly imagine spending half our time in California and half in a little hut in a town like you describe. Why not?

Em, you are a great writer and we really enjoy reading about your life this summer. Keep up the blogs. Not much time left which I'm sure will go by fast.

We had a really fun party at your house last night for Andy and Casey. I know they really enjoyed the night and felt the collective love.

Well, keep going strong. Bet your Spanish is getting quite good - Si? Can't wait till you get home and show off all your pictures.

    Shel
